| Blood_Tears said: I was counting Demon Souls and Dark Souls actually, plus I already mentioned Ni No Kuni will pass those bolded in the next 2 weeks and when Xillia's numbers come out next week it will be close to it and pass it the week after. Like I said, I already gave examples and if you bothered to read the thread you will have seen that I mentioned the game will come out in mid 2015 and it would not be financially viable on X360 at that time. Of course there "was" a market a few years ago for this genre on the 360. But it's shrinking every year, like how FF13-2 sold 660k total. And where did I say that ever jrpg has to outsell Blue Dragon and LO? I said list wars because it pretty obvious that developers know that X360 jrpg crowd is small and not worth it at this point. That's why you see exclusives likes Tales and Ni No Kuni. Anyways, I'm done agruing this pathetic point with you, the genre is dead on the X360, you need to let the dream go man, MS has.. |
Sure thing the game will come out in mid 2015. This is Playstation 4 we're talking about, not 3. So the Xbox One market can be a good one, and basing how the 360 market was, there's something to back it up. I merely respond to your "JRPG nough said" thing with evidence, and latter to another user who said "because japanese games" with more evidence.
The fact that you see exclusives like Tales and Ni No Kuni, again, is because of developers who only put it in Ps3 because they think that market will be good enough. You see, a game as niche as Deadly Premonition managed to be exclusive in the west for the 360, and became one of the most talked games of the generation. Then, later, they localized the Ps3 version with even more content and it bombed hard. It goes both ways. Tales of Vesperia might have not had the sales Namco would have thought, but sure as hell they try again they'll find even better results. That's why Dark Souls 2 is multiplat, just as Dark Souls 1, because the 360 market is good.
You're done arguing? Good for me.
