You sound like a Sony fan in 2006. The price isn't amazing no matter what's in the box. I want a machine to play games. There are machines out there that will play 95% of the available XBOne games - plus others - for $299-$399. Right now, XBOne is not the system to own. That may change in the future. |
But thats cool if you dont like mods. But if Microsoft come through with what they said about modding, then games like Skyrim will be 1000's of times better on Xbox One than PS4. Granted PC will still exist in the same modding vien. But PS4 will be left in the dust for games like that. Mods that add levels, change graphics, change characters, add new modes. Thats the potential from having a devkit in every owners house. The pool of talent goes outside of the development community and into the bedrooms. Just like PC gaming for the last 10 years.
Potentially, we could get old school Final Fantasy clones with newer amazing visuals from some guy in his basement.
Yes Xbox One will have a MUCH bigger indeie scene than PS4. In fact I predict a HUGE amount of bedroom Indie devs by gens end and a landslide in exclusives for Xbox One that just can never appear on PS4 due to Xbox One being a devkit at retail.
