Seriously, why do you play video games? What aspect of the experience do you seek out to maximize your enjoyment of a game? Is it the challenge, pitting your mind against the system? Is it the satisfaction of grinding flat each obstacle it tries to put in front of you? Or maybe it's the sense of discovery you get from exploring every nook and cranny of the world?

For me, it's the exploration of depth. I like being able to peel back the layers and recognize the thought and skill that went into making a game, and then discovering what effect each aspect has on the overall experience. It started out as just another way to have fun, but gradually I began to enjoy the analysis as much, if not more so, than the experience itself.

How about you? What keeps you coming back to your old favorites, or seeking out new experiences?

I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.
