| Slimebeast said: Me and Stickball both believe in over 10 million X360s sold in 2008, so no, it's not past its peak. That was a long article (I didn't read much) but as people have pointed out it got the numbers wrong. Some people get blinded because of the recent success of the PS3, but if you examine the numbers - and if vgchartz is to be trusted - you see that the X360 is selling better YOY (as Stickball said), and is selling over 500,000 consoles per month. That is exactly on track with my prediction, and after the price drop, which should come soon, the X360 may reach 600,000 per month. Add to that 3.5-4 mill sold in the holidays (Nov-Dec) and we have a 10 million X360 year. |
ok, so the 360 gets to 600000/month. cool.
FYI, the PS3 has sold 716000 units in the last month (last four weeks) I'm not saying the 360 is finished, but I am saying that it will be very difficult for the 360 to ever outsell the PS3 consistently in the future. (whether it con do that in NA alone is another story.)
Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it
