Well, think of it like this.  Let's say you are in a profession where you are a contractor.  You handle your own advertising and marketing.  There are four companies you want to work with.  Three of them say, "OK, sure, let's split the profit and get to work".  The fourth one, however, tells you that you have to split YOUR share with someone else, even though you don't really need the services they offer, for no real reason.

Would you be happy about that?
