only the first player is the mayor.

 

should be in the public works project.

 

have you tried sitting in the leather chair in the town hall ?  Also you must complete a current public works project before starting another one.

 

anyone can do it but you also have had to donated about 20 different fish and 20 different bugs to the museum and then only the mayor can select that public works project.

See, I asked here because I thought I'd get a better response than the ones on gamefaqs.

Anyway.
1. K that kinda sucks. Maybe there should be a patch for that. Kinda annoying since my second character is my main.
2. I can't start a public works project, but all the info I've looked up says it can be built day 1.
3. Yes I have sat in the seat. Still I can't start a public works project without 100% approval, and I'm currently at 11%, and Isabelle's advice is to build more public works to improve rating. Why would that suggestion even be in the game if you couldn't do public works without 100%? How could you raise approval when you're already at 100%?
4. It's actually 20 items of any kind. Fossils, paintings, bugs, fish, in any combination, and then you need to talk to Blathers for 14 consecutive or non-consecutive days. My question was whether the mayor needed to be the one to talk to Blathers, or a non-mayor could also. My main has talked to Blathers for 7 days. My mayor (not my main) has talked to him for 3. So is my guage at 7 or 3?
