Now that I think about it FF8 had the most empty world in the whole series.

You didn't play Final Fantasy 8 did you?

OT: Winhill, FF8

I own FF8. outside of Esther and Balamb it has no cities worth speaking about compared go previous/future FF's

I own 4 copies :P.

I say that since you're missing a lot of side stories in the world.  Final Fantasy 8's world is one of the richest I've played in the series.  From finding the lunch ladie's son in Fisherman Horizon, to seeing a couple expect to meet each other in different locations in Dollet.  Plus the overall architecture of everything.

For someone that accused me of not playing FF8 because I dont share your opinion you sure didnt have anything relevant to otherwise. I didnt say FF8 has a boring world. I said Empty in terms location. FF8:http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Final_Fantasy_VIII_Locations FF7:http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Final_Fantasy_VII_Locations FF9:http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Final_Fantasy_IX_Locations Do a comparison between FF8 world's of 7&9 and tell me what you find.

Alright, what's your definition of empty in locations?  The gardens?  Centra Ruins, that mountain point in Trabia, the gardens, the town, the entire railway system connecting towns within the contintents that are constantly running, the extra sidequests, the chocobo forests, Shumi Village?  What's extra in FF7 that made it more?  FF9 had a very rich world, not gonna say anything otherwise to that game.  My statements were saying there's a lot of side stories and side quests in Final Fantasy 8 which leaves for a very animated world, for that to be the case there has to be lots of locations.  So you're either downplaying everything in the world, or you didn't find anything.  I question you playing the game based on your statements, it was used more in jest.

When I say empty I'm not talking about the actual location's being barren but the amount of total visitable location's in the game are less than its predecessor and sequel.  The lure of the world is fine which is why I listed as one my perferred worlds in my 1st post. The world map is pretty empty comparede to FF9 or 7. Lots of empty space,

But there's lots of trains running around.  There's an equal amount of towns.  Chocobo forests.  Ruins, etc.  It's not as empty as you're making it out to be.
