Bristow9091 said: So... EVERYTHING they announced at the event in May, was a lie? It seems they've done a 180 on just about everything they said back then, this was the last item that fanboys and haters had as ammunition against the console, and now it's been fixed... yeah. |
lol... a "LIE"... Sensationnal :) So at first you complain about anything they are planning and when they LISTEN to gamers and adjust things, they become "liars"... You guys are killing me; I mean is there nothing good to talk about in other Sony threads and your precious console instead of spending the majority of your time flamming/bashing into the MS ones?

Ever hear the phrase, don't trust the dog that bit you? Just because Microsoft has reversed many of the policies, lets not forget that they tried to screw us over in the first place, therefor it is likely they are to do it again, perhaps incrimentally throughout the consoles lifetime.

The problem with that analogy is that they honestly thought that is what the consumers would want. They were wrong for the most part (after trying their best to convince said consumers) so they changed the policies. They were not trying to screw over consumers (well no more than any other big company tries to milk their customers).
And they won't be adding any of the DRM policies or Kinect required back into the X1 throughout the X1's lifespan. That simply will not happen for extremely obvious reasons.

I see just one thing wrong with his post. He doesn't speak for everyone yet he's attempting to. Some didn't have a problem with their policies

I am one of the people who thought having the ability of Selling, Trading, Gift, Sharing my digital content was the path forward and I was more than willing to leave disk behind for that future. My only problem was the 24 hour restriction. Even thought I have my console hooked up to the net all the time, 24 hours was way to inflexible for people who do not have such a ability. Instead, I thought if MS stuck with their guns they would change that part and make it like Zune music where you only have to connect once a month. Instead MS bungled the whole thing so much they had to drop it completely or risk to much negative momentun on release.
