Oh, you can do that with the PS Eye. It just depends on whether the devs decide to do it.

Can you, I haven't heard anything about the PSeye, do you have a link for that?

Not that it negates anything, how exactly does PSeye doing that not mean it's of somewhat value for for Kinect? Why you always gotta turn it into a PS4 vs X1 thing stage?

Because I am stating that its not an exclusive selling point if everyone can do it (then again, I might have to take it back since MS bought the exclusivity of DR3 just like the first game).  It's a specific instance but what happens when it comes down to truer exclusivity and multiplatform gaming. Everyone seems to be using some peripheral these days so the gap is getting slimmer and slimmer. The Kinects major selling point is that it could do things the other consoles couldnt by voice command or motion detection.....was it not?

I would say no one cares if another device can do something if that device is not getting support.  The difference will always be that the PSeye is just another add on while MS has made kinect center to their console experience.  Its the same as Nintendo making the Wiimote central to the Wii.  When developers think about features, they cost them just like anything else.  Costing a feature you know will be used because everyone has the device is totally different when that info is unknown.

I expect to see a lot of little kinect features that probably can be duplcated using the PSeye but not included for the PSeye because its just another add on.
