eh, I think the general public is still pretty split on what they like more. I know a lot of people really liked that the 360 took AA batteries when I worked at best buy. I don't really care, as I invested a long time ago in a ton of rechargeable AA and AAA batteries for my house. Like people have said earlier, it may be more convenient to have the battery built into the controller, but if that built in battery stops holding a charge, it is pretty hellish to replace. I had that happen with one of my ps3 controllers, but it was a controller from before they put the rumble back in so I just bought a new one.
