You have to remember that the hardware was basically the same as the Gamecube, just with a speed boost. So that means they hade a LOT of time to get used to the hardware.
That said the Xbox's gpu is on par with the Wii's, slightly more powerfull if you take memory bandwidth in to account. Altough Wii has slightly more RAM. So yes they could be possible on a 6th gen console if the developer hade enough time for it.
