I played it, and I thought it was great. It could have been a lot better, sure, but it was a good first attempt.
The art style was beautiful, the combat was nice and fluid, and there were some unique ideas in there. The platforming elements were the game's weakest aspect, and imo it's the main reason for the game's relatively low scores. When a game is as linear as this one, they expect more thrilling set pieces to navigate through.
I'd still recommend playing it though.
