...i think the biggest trend will be in personality.
people like myself, value the experience of playing a game over winning, will use the wii wheel.
others people, value winning over everything else, will use the gamecube controller.
motto of my middle school gym class, "if you had fun you won!". thank god for that phrase cause i never won any of the games we played in gym class by any other measure. xD
