This is how you listen to consumers (video below) Jack Tretton explains and reponds to the questions about the difference of times in understanding phase changes in the market and when its right to move forward. Also, understanding why a relationship with Gamestop is great for gamers. Son y has an edge as a hardware developer and the issue with Microsoft that you can easily see with the Xbone is that they are trying to usher us into an internet software sharing dependent world where our PC's are. By doing that they I don't really think they understood their consumer base because they cut their market down a peg by laying down a debilitating amount of downloads on their consumer with an internet dependent product.
The point is internet is important and yes they helped us see how it works, but the world is not ready for it. A small fraction of the world are ready for it and I am not just talking about people who have internet. The workload the internet download Xbone would need to realize its dream would be huge, so yes it would need to be on 24 hours, but the policies Microsoft had to overturn one by one were all ridiculous and totally anti-gamer.
