Sony is more in touch with the common gamer than Microsoft is. Microsoft has a solid FPS foundation though, i'll give them that. Microsoft knows how to lure them but when they show them who they truly are they have to revert. Remember that time Sony released a $600 console? They were actually under the illusion they would sell like hotcakes simply because it had a Sony logo on it.

Remember the Vita? Nuff said!

How much of the PS3 did Sony have to take back? Zero. How much of the new Xbone policies had to be overturned. Almost everything and they are still making new policies.

Sony waited until after launch to take some of the PS3 away, and every thing they removed was for the worse for gamers.

MS overturns some policies before launch, every one of them beneficial for many gamers.

Everything Sony took away was not because people bitched for them to take it away (outside of the pricing) it was because Sony was trying to decrease the cost so they could make a slimlined version of the PS3. The Xbones launch is literally the worst prelaunch i've ever seen in my life. I thought the Saturn was bad and the Xbone might do better but in terms of launch preparation id say this is the worst of all time.

MS overturned some polcies? Overturning DRM includes a lot of underlying issues, including always online, their relationship with Gamestop and their online depdendent nature and alienation of rural people and others without internet connection. Theres plenty more just on that offense. Why piss off indy devs? Why? They opened the floodgates for them and then they just turn their backs on them? Dude....I could go on and on.
