Very funny, but as I said this week is a huge difference. Stock at amazon UK used to last for minutes every single time. Even much before Christmas.

True. It is a difference. But we can't tell how much it really means until there is still one Wii on the shelf when new stock comes in. Which for Amazon, I admit, is going to be hard for us to tell. For the other 'sightings', I guess the person can ask the store clerk what day the stock usually comes in, and then come in late the night before to see if there is any left.
'True' demand levels have to be measured by not allowing any out of stock condition, not even on the day of new stock, but before it has hit the shelves. Since it is possible that a customer walking by would see the last one and buy it even though the Wii has been sitting there gathering dust for 7 days.
Torturing the numbers. Hear them scream.
