Why do you think Nintendo hates their most successful home console ever?...After the Wii´s huge success, it seems they didn´t learn anything.

Probably because poor Nintendo got badgered by the industry and was told that the Wii success doesn't count, because they don't have real third party support. But Nintendo would like to be accepted by the industry.

Probably also because Nintendo's senior developers were shown that they were wrong for over a decade with the games they desired to make not gaining additional traction despite a much higher installed base than previously.

So two birds with one stone: Proper third party support sells consoles and if the console sells, then Nintendo's developers can make the games they want to make, because they won't be obligated to make games that sell consoles aside from maybe a few. From that point of view it makes sense to arrive at the Wii U and ditch the Wii as fast as possible.

So it´s about making games for themselves?...are they living in La-La land, burying their heads in the sand and pretending that developing games isn´t a business?
