I use it all the time (except somewhere where it's moving) and I find it really amazing. I will never agree with it being called a gimmick. The 3d effect give you the feeling to open a window on a vibrant little world and immerse you in it. I think games like Luigi Mansion, Fire Emblem and Super mario 3d land look really great. I actually haven't played any game where the 3d doesn't bring anything. Good headphones and 3d on is how I really enjoy the 3DS!
