I don't think they'll be giving up on the gamepad without Nintendo Land, they would always have a game that has unique Gamepad functionality in it (something like Wii Sports U). 



You suggested replacing Nintendo Land with games like 3D World & Tropical Freeze, and those games don't really use the gamepad for anything. Heck they can be played completely without it. It just doesn't seem right to bundle a game that doesn't take advantage of the console's main feature, especially when said feature takes $100 or so to make.

I said they could, not that they should. Plus, some gamers do want a Wii U but aren't really fond of Nintendo Land, and a bundle wtih a game like those could stir sales quite a bit! 



They can still bundle games without removing Nintendo Land. They've done it in the past with the Wii, and they've recently done it with Zombi U if I recall correctly.
