Nintendo still selling Wii U at a loss

Exaclty. All they can do right now is have value bundles. And since Wii-Remotes aren't that much to manufacture anymore, I guess you're right that they can bundle one or two in each console and still maintain a 349.99$ price tag. 

Also with the holidays coming up there will for sure be some nice discounts and bundles going on. I think in April we could see a $299 Mario Kart bundle which in my opinion is a great value.
