Link does not call people motherfuckers. He has no need to look badass, and Nintendo should stop trying to pretend he's the original Master Chief. Especially Classic Link (LTTP/Oracles/LA/etc).
Surely he will ocassionally be seen as a badass by accident, but he should not strive to appear badass, and Nintendo should feel no pressure to make "badass" a permenant character trait of his. Again, especially Classic Link.
By the way, there was very little worth celebrating for Link in LA.
