That's messed up lol.  If people did that then the sales would be crap and next time they won't even port it to the Wii U, but if it sold well then next time they would take the Wii U more seriously and give a proper port, that's the way I look at it.

The gimping means it's going to sell badly anyway, so me buying it wouldn't help anyway. At least, that's how I see it. But I'm a severe pessimist.

You might have a point though. I do want to support third parties on Wii U. I bought Need for Speed cos Criterion put effort into making it a better version.
