29% on core gamers audience (source : http://www.gamespot.com/news/women-are-the-new-core-says-microsoft-narrative-designer-6406037 )

Again, does it disturb you as a male (Are you a male ?) to play female protagonists ?

A casual developer says they make up 30% of US gamers (no clue what types of games he's referring to). And then goes to say women are a part of the core. Since this developer is a casual gamer developer, we can assume he's referring to the core of his market - the phone/Facebook gamer market (or whatever casual audience he develops for).

I played Tomb Raider and it doesn't bother me. I also play as female players in a lot of multiplayer games.

Well I don't know a lot of core gamers but a few of them are females, so they do exist.

It bothers me and most people, when they are asked, point out another demographic, so are there really a demographic that DON'T wanna play a game with a female protagonist ?

Remember me and Tomb Raider (the new one, not the boobs ones) did well in their respective categories, so why not ?

And Call of Duty as its first dog protagonist, but no females on horizon. And they are women playing call of duty, women in the army, and maybe some straight gamers sick of the sausage fest.
