Does anyone not give a fuck about rumble and never turn this feature on? Curious if I'm an oddity.... The only time I ever turned on the rumble on my PS3 was during that one scene on Metal Gear Solid 4 with Psycho Mantis.

It's vital in most games these days. Playing a shooter with out it would be hell.

Why would it be hell to play shooter without it? I don't particularly care for FPS on console - I'm a m/kb guy >:)

I don't notice rumble much either, not missing it at all when playing on the pc with the DS3.
It can be useful when you play a sim racer with the sound off, rumble can take the part of the squeeling tires to drive on the egde. As for shooters, the flash indicators on screen are way more useful then rumble. During cutscenes it's absolutely pointless. I usually put the controller down during cutscenes and it makes one hell of a racket rumbling on a wooden table.

Maybe the finer rumble control could be used for some fun stuff. Make the controller draw shapes on the floor rumbling around.
