just used a little bit of common sense, if people arent using the same controller all around someone most likely will have the upper hand. How is COD multi? Does the person with the pad have their own screen on it, and everyone else looks at the TV and he can see where people are and no one knows where he is? Cause thats unfair OR is the gamepad just a regular controller and provides no benefits thats better.

They could have done the latter but i imagine they would have to remove alot of whatever unique features they would have done for the Pad, then people would have complained that Ubi was lazy for not utilizing the pad. They could have just have people use the regular controllers, but that takes time having to code for the pad, wiimote and/or controller, maybe thats what they tried to do but ran out of time. If they would have done that, they would have complained aobut getting it late. And how much people even bought two of those xbox controllers? Doubt the game would work well with wiimote.

Ninty really should have at least had two pads running on the system. If it cost that much then they should not have released the system. Wait a year and just released with the other two.

We are talking about offline co-op here, so there are no worries about a competitive advantage for one player or the other. Say it's splitscreen, then the player with the Gamepad gets a map on his screen; no big deal if one player has more information, because the purpose of co-op play is to help each other. Say each player gets their own screen, then things are the same for each player.

Allowing different controllers to play a game doesn't take a lot of time to code when we are talking about the Gamepad and the Pro Controller (there are no obligations to make games work with the Wiimote/Nunchuk setup). They are identical, save for the touchscreen. There are no changes to make for button mapping whatsoever.

There are no reasons to believe that an offline co-op mode takes a lot of effort to code when it already exists in other versions of the game.

but then someone is still having more features than the other player. So maybe their isnt an advantage in the sense of competition but its not gonna be the same experience for both players. I could only speak for myself but that doesnt sound like a very good time to me.

clearly their is, because they ran out of time, unless they were attempting something more robust

the other systems dont have the uniqueness of multiple control inputs
