they both grew, but Andriod will continue to mop the floor with windows. truth is, even before iOS and andriod, windows never had the top market share and wasnt the OS to beat, it was symbian. windows never had that strong of a presence in the smartphone market, and it probably never will. 

same thing goes to tablet market so it appears since its a very similar market to the smartphone market it seems

Yep, so it will be up to MSFt's cloud, business and XBOX to keep the company from sliding.  Personally, I think that sliding is unlikely but I do foresee MSFT slowing its growth down, which is dangerous enough given that its competitors will be getting stronger/growing while it is not.
