Most people who play video games aren't forum go-ers. They wont care who the game is made by, only about the game itself. I bet if SM3DW were made by Microsoft, it would sell the same as it would otherwise. I'll also bet you've never heard of people irl talking about Activison and Ubisoft rather than Call of Duty and Assasin's Creed.
