My wife told me that I should get a Wii U a few weeks ago because I "had not done anything for [myself] in a long while".  We have an almost 3 year old and my wife birthed triplets in October, so between work and 3 babies plus toddler there has not been a lot of time.  Since the triplets are now beyond infancy and a little easier to manage, I agreed it would be a nice new gadget for the house.

I am quite pleased with it when I can squeeze in play time.  Here are the games I have with comments:

Nintendoland (bundled with Wii U) - This one is fun, though I have not got a lot of multiplayer in.  My 3 year old is still too little to grasp most videogames, and my wife and I only have a limited time each day for some quality time to ourselves.  Anyway, I do not think I have been able to take full advantage of what this game offers is all I am trying to get at.

Scribblenauts Unlimited - This game is great. I had heard of the first scribblenauts game for DS years ago, thought it sounded like a great idea but never tried it. I can say I am thouroughly pleased with my first foray into this franchise.

New Super Mario Bros U - Only played a handful of courses, but enjoy what the game is.  You know what you are getting here.

Need for Speed Most Wanted U - Now I am no racing game fan, but this looked intriguing enough to give it a shot.  takes a it to get used to the handling of the cars, but this is an excellent game and oddly addicting (like a good book you have trouble putting down).

Earthbound (VC Download, just released shortly after buying console) - Never played this game when I had SNES, but have heard enough about it since that it certainly warranted a try.  I can certainly understand why this was considered a cult classic after playing it.  Again, time contraints have not allowed me to get farther than Twoson at this point, but having fun so far.

Batman Arkham City Armored Edition - I would recommend this to anyone who has a Wii U and is over the age of 14.  I won't be playing this with or around my 3 year old.  This is a great open world game with great controls, and fun button mashing.  Makes great use of the source material (in my opinion anyay, though I qualify it with the fact that I have never read Batman comics).

Quite pleased overall.
