Will 3DS have more 5 Million Sellers Than DS? (3DS~4 vs DS~18)

Just a prediction. I've just noticed that more people have a 3DS than the DS 2 years into it's lifespan.

When I had a DS, not everybody had one...maybe 3 other kids. Of course, this was forever ago.

The 3DS is only 2 years old and I'm seeing them everywhere. Maybe it's just me realizing more now that I'm older.

 

Anyways, just a prediction. Not saying it's absolute fact. The 3DS has an extremely high quality line-up and it just keeps getting better and better. I may be wrong, but I won't be surprised if it does eventually outsell the original DS.

I see what u mean but the thing Iis DS exploded in popularity with the Lite, NSMB which was the first 2D Mario in 15 years and surprise hits like Nintendogs and Brain Training.

The XL hasnt been a huge boost, NSMB is no longer new and Nintendogs/Brain Training arent nearly as big anymore. Its possible if 3DS gets another redesign that really improves and has some surprise hits that end up being huge, maybe Miiverse will be big on 3DS. Overall I see 3DS doing about 100 million, could be more or less dependong on how long its cycle is.
