Whenever you narrow "know" THAT much, it becomes much harder to "know" someone who plays pokemon. Almost no one uses the word "know" in that sense. There are people who have literally 0 people they meet and socialize with regularly. So you're really playing around with this.
Also, I posted those two rather than the more recent ones because it isn't fair to post more recent numbers due to the fact that Black and White and Black and White 2 have significantly lower sales in Europe due to piracy and stuff on the DS. Otherwise I would have used the data there. You should also know that throughout the whole pokemon series' life, data has shown that MORE adults and teens play pokemon NOW than BEFORE. So yes, they do CHANGE, but against your hypothesis. Not only that, but you can see across the board that Pokemon has been maintaining millions of sales across generations, only exception being Europe due to heavy piracy on the DS. You'll see you're proven wrong when X and Y in Europe has over 4 million sales.

Not playing around anything. I literally don't know anyone who plays Pokemon. And in fact, I only know 1 gamer who buys Nintendo systems but that's because he buys all systems.

Yes you are playing around. How many people define "know" as "I am friends/close friends with them." To say to know someone is almost always saying that, friend or not, you met the person in life before at least once. You know each others names. Enough to identify the person. It's like saying "do you know (insert name)?" You have met the person 10 times in your life, you know their name, their job, what kinds of things they like, etc., but not in detail. By your definition, you would have to say "No." Because you do not meet and socialize with them regularly. Do you see how ridiculous that is? If you were going to say that you don't "know" anyone who plays pokemon, you should have said that none of your FRIENDS play pokemon. THAT is much more accurate, and I wouldn't have questioned the legitimacy of your claim.

Pretty sure I said I don't know anyone who plays Pokemon or anyone that plays Pokemon that I know of. But yeah, none of my friends or immediate family members including my mom's or dad's siblings' families play Pokemon.
