Why not? That is basically what the 3ds got when it was in trouble.

It's a difference of getting Pikmin, W101, WiiFit U and DKC instead of Mario Kart from Nintendo this year.

I really wish Mario Kart's and 3D World's release dates were switched since we already have a Mario platformer (albeit a different one) on the console.
