Does it make sense to call the WiiU a failure at this point in time?

All this stuff about doomed consoles is getting a little frustrating. When talking about the Big 3, the Virtual Boy was the only console that actually failed.

And since the Wii U is doing much better than the Virtual Boy at this point, I'd say Wii U is not a failure.
