I'm just going to tag this thread to have a good laugh from it in a year. These systems are going to sell very well and possibly sell in 4-5 months what Wii-U will have sold in it's first year. People have been waiting for several years now for these devices to arrive and Wii-U is no comparison because for these consumers that device is not even a option(aside of maybe buying it as an extra in the long run).

To sum it up really simple: A lot of PS360 owners are going to buy a Ps4/Xbox One, Most of the current Wii owners are not going to buy a Wii-U(because they bought it for the motion controls). If Wii didn't have motion controls it would have sold like the Wii-U is selling now and the PS3 and X360 would still have sold the same, possibly more.

Wii-U sales are no indication of the possible succes of the PS4 or Xbox One. Saying so is like saying the next Iphone or Samsung S flagship smartphone is going to sell bad because a mid range model smartphone of a Nokia smartphone isn't doing well. It's not catering to the same market segment and it can in no way be compared in demand.

See I see the that not happening very quickly at all.

Majority of the PS4/One's list of games seems to be multiplat games that are also on PS3/360.  Why would one spend $500 to improve the pixels a bit for the same game?

If they cared so much about the ultimate version for that price, they woudl already have gaming PC's.   So I see a lot staying with their current PS3/360 until the Call of Duty's and other massive appeal games are no longer being made for PS3/360.

See I HAD to get a Wii U to get a lot of new games I wanted.  I don't have to get a ps4/one, to get a lot of the games I want on those systems.  i can buy them on my Ps3 or 360.  (or PC, but lets ignore that)

Everyone is saying 3rd parties are killing Wii U.  In a way I can almost see 3rd parties helping Wii U.  Due to the lack of 3rd party and poor Wii U sales, it has caused Nintendo to up their OWN game and thus the Wii U will have a crap load of exclusive games that can only be bought on that system, even if they are only 1st party.   Meanwhile the Microsoft and Sony have great 3rd party, BUT that great 3rd party is still sticking with the ps3/360.  So all that great 3rd party might actually keep people from upgrading cause they can get the same game on a system they already own.
