That is really possible. If you notice trends. Launches for new systems have been getting worse for 8th gen consoles
3DS>Vita>Wii U
Trend is going down. It is really possible for the PS4 and Xbox (3!) to do worse. The economy is getting worse not better. The price is insane. Who wants to buy a 8th gen console when most of their games can be played on 7th gen consoles?

My prediction they will launch worse. If they don't then it will have worse legs. PS4 and Xbox 3 remind me of PSP and Vita in Japan honestly
