I've had a legit interview take place at a Starbucks once. However, one should become very skeptical when the person wants a ride and gets angry when finding out you didn't bring a car. I'd tell him to fuck off and I don't want your "job" with that kind of attitude. However, saying that to some one in Mexico might get you shot... Perhaps, a more polite response like calling out their lack of professionalism or weird situation they are trying to put you into. I've never heard of someone giving an interview then demanding a ride. Obviously, he was looking to take the car or worse.
