A few days ago I saw an ad online for a human resources position at Business Process Outsourcing in Tijuana, México. They were offering about twice the common salary for that same position, so I sent my resume just as I would buy a lottery ticket. The ad said that a car was needed for the position to move from one company to another and that a visa to be able to cross from México to the US was "a plus". A few days ago I received an email asking me to go to an interview that same day so I decided to go. I bought new shoes, I got a haircut and I sacrificed my manly moustache and beard, I got dressed with my "serious" clothes.
So I went to the interview at a local Starbucks (I know, I know!) and I recognized some familiar people who were also excited to apply for one of the two job positions available, one of them was a comrade from university. A short time later the interviewer arrived. After a very fast paced and overall awkward interview he told me that he was interested in hiring me and that he would contact me for a second interview. Then he asked me to give him a ride because he didn't had a problem with his car. I told him that I couldn't because I didn't bring it and he became mad. He gave me further instructions and we went our separate ways.
When I came back home and checked for the ad online, I saw that the company had been deleted from the site and I suspected that he wanted to steal my car or kidnap me, so I freaked out.
Today he contacted me again to make me another interview at the same Starbucks at the same time as the day before. but I didn't reply and instead I called that Starbucks location to notify them about the incident and so they could warn other applicants if they went to the "interview". I also notified Gmail and asked them to delete the account because it had my personal information and other aplicant's too.
My sister told me that I wasn't trying to get robbed. "They" were actually going to hire me, I was being lured to have a job that involved to cross to the US every now and then while they stuck my car with tons (like literally tons) of drugs without me noticing. Now I feel super mad... and stupid.
Here's some more on the "Blind Mule" phenomenon which appears to be pretty popular right now in the border areas in México.

Here's a link to another post I wrote recently explaining why I'm trying to get away from this shithole and asking for gamers opinion on how to do it and where to go:

I remember how people talked about how people from Cuba were unable to leave the island: now México is my very own Cuba.
