What do you mean? I listed things Nintendo had done wrong, all they needed to do was not do those things. Do you want me to list more things that Nintendo could've done differently with the Wii U? There are a few left. Also, you took those points out of perspective. I don't want Nintendo to make a console that is graphically powerful rivaling the PS4 and XBO. I said the name was awkward at first, now there is no reason to complain about it because they aren't changing it. And I never said Nintendo shouldn't of had the Gamepad. (Although it wasn't planned out well at all.) How can you defend Nintendo on this when they've clearly done something wrong? The market isn't buying the Wii U, so there are obvious problems that Nintendo need to fix, if possible. Sorry this took awhile, but I was meaning to reply... then I needed to hop off VGC for awhile to do something. |
That's okay. Sorry I took you points out of perspective. I was genuinely asking so you know. I defend Nintendo in this because I don't like the alternative situations. You're proposal has good points but saying what NOT to do just isn't enough. Here's what I would do if i was going to solve the problems you proposed. (I'm not supporting these however, I still support Nintendo's decision-making)
Cheapen the touchscreen controller:
I would eliminate the following features EXCEPT for stereo and rumble. Without rumble ppl might have a coronary.
built-in front-facing camera
sensor strip
built-in microphone
stereo speakers
NFC
nine-axis motion detection via a three-axis accelerometer
three-axis gyroscope
three-axis magnetometer
rumble feature.
Change the name:
I could write a bunch of ideas but choosing one is harder. Force sounds like Four in ps4. Ppl associate sounds. 360 sounded like ps3.
Wii Force
Release games regularly and faster OS:
I can't solve this without canceling the november launch and breaking contracts with partners. Assuming I could keep 20% of the launch ports to wait for an April release. This is what i'd do.
April: New Super Mario Bros. U, Lego City Undercover, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition, Just Dance 4
May: Scribblenauts Unlimited, ZombiU. Rabbids Land, Monster Hunter.
June: Nintendo Land
July: Game & Wario
August: Pikmin 3
September: The Wonderful 101
October: The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
November: Wii Party U, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
December: Super Mario 3D World and Wii Fit U.
January: Mario Kart 8
February: Bayonetta 2
March: Super Smash Bros.
April: Monolithsoft's X
