Debatable, both systems had definitive games, but I only mentioned Wii because it's more recent. IMO I think N64 had the bulk of the definitive Nintendo games, but I might be giving it too much credit just because I'm a huge Mario Party 2 fan.

Most people will say that the best Mario is Galaxy, Zelda is OoT, Metroid is Prime 1, Mario Kart is DS (but I can't play portable Mario Kart games so I think 64/Wii are the best), Mario Party is 2, Donkey Kong is Country 1, Smash Bros is Melee....etc.

My point was that Wii made a lot of proper Nintendo games. Proper Mario, Zelda, Metroid Prime, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, etc. I don't think too many people want a Wii U for more of the same. I'm looking forward to X very much, and I think more unique Wii U experiences like this will push hardware sales. I mean I think this is why I think Wii did so well, Wii Sports was new, and people loved it.

Whut the? You just flip flopped! Definitive/Proper =/= crazy, which is what you said Wii games were. I was asking you how they were crazy, not if they're the best in the series n what have you. Also, it's not really debatable that DKCR is more traditional than DK Bongo Blast lol.

Oh I see how I what I said is flippy floppy. Yes gamecube had more definitive Nintendo games (Metroid Prime, F-Zero GX, Smash Bros, and Pikmin 1), but Wii had more properly developed Nintendo games. Sunshine was not Super Mario, Mario Kart Double Dash was no Mario Kart, Wind Waker was not Zelda (and I'll defend this, Wind Waker is IMO the worst 3D Zelda, but still good). However on Wii, Metroid Prime 3, Twilight Princess AND Skyward Sword, Galaxy 1 & 2, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Kirby, etc, etc, all high quality iterations of Nintendo franchises. Wii really didn't bring any franchise down.

So your statement of Wii games being "tame and traditional" compared to Gamecube games is debatable. I wouldn't consider any major 1st party Nintendo game on the Wii tame, maybe traditional, but most Gamecube exclusives have been critisized for being too different.

Plus XenoBlade, I would argue, is Nintendo's definitive JRPG since technically Super Mario RPG was developed by Squaresoft, and Paper Mario is just nowhere nearly as good.

Well like I said, my statement, "tame and traditional" has nothing to do with how good the games are, only with how they play and/or their appearance. Super Mario Galaxy plays more like 64 than Sunshine as you don't have a water gun strapped to your back. Kirby: RTD plays more like Crystal Shards than Air Ride for obvious reasons. Skyward Sword looks more like Ocarina of Time than Wind Waker. Donkey Kong was already explained, and there weren't things like Legend of Starfox or Luigi Ghostbusters. The Wii did have Super Paper Mario and Epic Yarn, but SPM was originally supposed to be on the Gamecube (that explains it's wierdness lol), and they only threw Kirby onto Epic Yarn to make it sell more.
