I saw the Xbox One when it was out here for E3. It reminded me of being about the same size and an old Atari 2600.

For reference, the new Kinect seems to be the exact same width as the original Kinect 1.0. This makes since as they are both limited by the spacing needed for the mic arrays. The new Kinect is notably thicker vertically, but doesn't need to move up and down.

You should be able to extract the size difference with your current kinect off this picture.  Also, the controllers are about the same size.

Other than it doesn't seem to be able to be mounted vertically, it doesn't seem that much bigger to me compared with the recently retired X360 S.
