I think it just reconfirms what they already knew and were probably expecting....that they aren't going to sell much hardware until more of their own software is available. When the games come, the hardware sales will pick up. Maybe not as much as some people are expecting nor as much as Nintendo is hoping, but the hardware sales WILL improve as Wii U receives at least two solid games per month (most of which are first-party) from August thru December.
Also...people need to realize that 160,000 for the quarter is the "shipped" number. They SOLD more than that during the quarter...but they had over-shipped earlier in the year and back at the end of last year (especially in Europe) and so they needed to ship very little to meet the low demand.
