Early game is definitely aggravating. I don't like grinding, and the game basically forces a bit of that right on you in the beginning to be able to fight Frank and Frankystein II. Had to look it up on gamefaqs that PSI Sonic would finish that fight in one go, and that level 8 was necessary, but that involved beating up a lot of small-town street toughs.
