I disagree, I think Puppeteer and Galaxy 2 have a very clear visual edge over Knack/NSMBU respectfully. They may have lower screen resolution due to weaker hardware, but their effects, lighting, and style are just so much more eye-pleasing.

It's all down to the artstyle. Knack is technically more impressive, even though you may think it looks bland. Still, that doesn't take anything from this game (which looks excellent).

Like I said, Knack has better tech, but better tech doesn't necessarily equate better visuals, as Puppeteer versus Knack demonstrates.

But that could be said for anything. Even stuff two gens away vs. stuff in the next-gen. Art doesn't progress with generations (well, not as much as tech).

That's my point; art over tech.
