Any mod is free to lock any thread as long as they explain why. In a borderline case, I, like any other mod, would consult the other mods first. This was not a borderline case. No moderator has expressed any disagreement with the locking.

Just a question here Kantor...why don't you ban happyd?

I mean he purposefully makes a flame thread...as in he openly talks about how it was just to prove a point. That thread gets locked then he makes another thread discussing why the first thread was locked when he knew very well what the point of the initial thread was.

Everything happens exactly as planned and then makes baseless accusations against the entire MOD team being Sony bias despite the fact that we all know the MODS are not. Which is besides the point really.

Now he comes into this thread and makes another baseless accusation against the mods...again starting up trouble. HappyD has a serious problem with Sony fans and goes out of hes way to start something up. Surely this behavious is not only obvious but not welcome here on the site.

And despite all that HappyD has been around here for a quite a long time. How do you guys go about dealing with situations like this?

Posters who have less of a habit of causing trouble tend to get more leeway. HappyD was over the line here, but just such that he needed an informal warning (at least in my estimation. Other mods are free to moderate as they will).

I get the whole leeway thing, but when posters deliberately go against rules that they are well aware of then i think it needs to be dealt with harshley.

Its one thing to get carried away with emotion in the heat of a debate but this isnt what happend here.

Edit: Poor fellow got banned anyways.
