Because it's about selling a product. You tout everything as "awesome" in order to generate hype and interest.
Have you noticed that the worst movies tend to have massive PR campaigns? They know they aren't great movies and as word of mouth makes others aware, they know people will stop going to see them.
Same scenario here. (Not saying any of this stuff is bad) It's just about continuing to put PR out there.
No need to spin this in either direction. Take it for what it is.
