Intimidate wouldn't be the right word, but when I was younger I found black people... strange. Mostly because they were so rare where I grew up. I had several friends of Asian descent, and school always took great pains to teach us aboriginal culture, so they didn't seem unusual either, but I found myself wanting to stare at the two token black kids in my school. It didn't help that they had a tough time fitting in and seemed a little more prone to mischief as a result.
Times change, and lots of the recent immigrants to my city come from Africa, and they're especially common around my workplace. I no longer find black people quite so alien.

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event." — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing
