| JWeinCom said: Well, last year, the 3DS sold just around 5.5 million in Japan. The biggest releases were NSMB2 and Animal Crossing towards the end of the year. Monster Hunter is about as big as those in Japan, but it has a more hardcore following so I think it will have a more front loaded effect on the 3DS hardware. Meanwhile, this is the first true Pokemon game on the console, which should have a very large impact. Even aside from Pokemon and Monster Hunter, the 3DS has a far stronger holiday lineup than it did last year. Zelda and Mario Party should both provide a nice little boost. |
Zelda is 2014 in Japan.
Oh, and unless there's a new 3DS model, there's no way the sales for the hw are that high. DS sold like 8m only one year in japan with higher weekly sales than the actual ones for 3DS.
