Seems unbiased core gamers will pick one up at some point. Both libraries will offer great games and multiplats will be largely identical.

Everybody else will be swayed by price, geographical brand mindshare established in the current gen, and whether or not the benefits of Kinect are worth picking it up over a PS4.

Personally Kinect adds a ultra modern lifestyle to the console, and for $100 more, its much more convenient to find things, control media, and complement gamepad based games. Others won't give a shit though as they are more "no frills" gamers.

I am one of those people who uses Kinect 1 and will say that it did not meet my needs.  I also will say that the next gen device has a good chance of meeting my needs.  Currently I like where MS is going with Kinect.  One ultra feature that might be basic to some is a killer feature for the games I play.  The ability for Kinect to recoginize you and automatically set your profile for controllers and other stuff just sounds like what a next gen device should do.  I play a lot of fighting games.  Usually a bunch of friends will come over and we will play about 6 different fighting game.  Each one usually require each person to change their controller setup.  Swapping conttrollers around usually entitlee someone wasting time configuring their button layout to their tastee.  If Kinect can make this as easy as swapping a controller, thats a huge plus in my book.

I am also looking at voice controls as the killer app.  I know a lot of people whine about yelling to kinect but if you set it up properly you never have to yell and it can really making finding stuff so much faster.  Case in point.  I wanted to find the movie real steal.  I say Kinect Real Steal and it finds everthing for Real Steal.  It finds the movie where its at in a bunch of different apps I have installed.  It finds the arcade version and a few other things.  This is a lot faster than me trying to find which app has the movie, go to the app, do a search for the movie within the app then select it.

Another selling point for X1 is the snap feature.  I think this is actually a great feature.  There have been plenty of times where I was playing a game and needed to send a quick message to my wife or son.  I would have to pause the game, find my phone find Skype or whatever chat agent I use, send the text then get back to the game.  To easily have skype popup use voie to find family member, voice chat and send all without having to stop doing what I am doing is a next gen feature if you ask me.  I see a lot of convient features to the X1 which I must say I like.

I have not made up my mind which system I will purchase first and I know I will get both but I am slowy leaning to the X1.  Currently the PS4 is looking like a beefed up PS3.  The problem is that all of the games I want to play are coming out on the PS3 while Sony PS4 games seem to be a ways out.
