Possibly not but they were never going to win everyone back with more expensive, less powerfull hardware, but they will of won back those that really enjoy the MS franchises more than any others, i know plenty of people that have gone from PS4 only at launch to now getting both, because they cant live without forza. There happy now, and im sure MS are happy they didnt lose them for good, Win Win.

I hear what your friends are saying, but it just doesn’t add up. For example, taking just the scenario of Forza as you mentioned – I assume that people that play competitive games Forza (Call of Duty, Street Fighter, etc) they buy them and keep them for a significant period of time, at least until the newer version comes out. So I believe that the previous X1 policies would have more supported these types of players than the new X1 policies.
These types of gamers don’t trade in games like Forza two weeks after they’ve played them – in contrast to games like God of War or Gears of War that typically hit the resale bin two days after launch. Furthermore, you don’t go lending out your copy of Forza, Halo, Street Fighter, Call of Duty etc to your pal, again, because these are normally games that you keep in your library and use to get better competitively than you friends. Finally, what happens now if your friend’s copy of Forza gets damaged? I think if games like Forza were the selling point for Xbox fans, they were better off with the previous X1 policies.

Alot of people hold protecting their consumer rights as a higher priority than gaming and their gaming habits.

Yeah, those same people purchase digital games from Steam or blizzard but they are sure enough upholdingn their rihts above cheap. In other words, its all about price. Consumes can care little about their rights if the price is right
