You not knowing why we are here doesn't mean there is a reason. I know why you think that though - it's evolution. If we were to truly get a sense of perspective we wouldn't bother getting up in the morning.

You still wouldn't have the proper characteristics usually ascribed to a god: omniscience, immortality, etc.

then should we be Agnostic?  I'm sorry if I don't see the benefits of being an Atheist. I love the idea of an after life...it beats just being in a box.
