Either 2000 or 3000. Do not get 1000, or PSPgo.
I haven't noticed much with a 3000. My 2000 broke, and I don't know if I've ever played a game on 3000. It doesn't matter with 3000 unless you plan to use the mic, and skype, otherwise, they do make mics for the PSP2000 so you can still skype on it.
The big thing with the 3000 was being able to play outside. Some people complain about screen tearing, but, you'd have to decide for yourself if that even bothers you, so get personal with a 3000 before buying and see if you can manage.
If you want to play it safe, the 2000 model is just fine. Just don't get 3000 or Go models.
